The photo of the salt bush I planted on my yard over a year ago. When I purchased 6 tube plants, they thought I was mad.
12 months later these plants the plants are thriving and every time I walk past them they give me so many ideas. Shall I dry the leaves out and replace with regular herbs, can I use the salt bush to replace salt in desserts, I should dry the leaves out and spread over thinly sliced potatoes and slowly bake, and on and on and on.
Each plant has grown differently, some are tall and skinny, other are lush and thick while two other ones are just hanging out doing their thing. It goes to show if in the right environment with the right amount of sun it will flourish, (am I trying to deliver a metaphor there? )
Here are a few of the dishes I create with salt bush
